Thanksgiving Holiday Specials

Hello ladies and gents of TV specials. As we know Thanksgiving is tomorrow! What are you thankful for? If you answered that with a joyful, excited, list of wonderful things to yourself, then fantastic. If you answered that with a cold hearted, hateful attitude, then golly am I glad you stopped here! In one of my recent post I told you I was going to have some traditional holiday fun movies to watch with the family and a plate of feasting deliciousness. Well, good news I found some! Now it is extremely hard to find some fun, legit, interesting thanksgiving movies because everyone is so fixated on Christmas, even though Thanksgiving hasn’t even passed yet! But I found four entertaining movies that take place during Thanksgiving and may or may not express family values, entertainment, upbeat moods, and other proud qualities of this holiday. Keep in mind, because of this generation's lack of Thanksgiving advertising movie respect, these movies are very old...

There is “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” a cute old fashion movie that I would say is good for children 7 and under but, also just to have some good intentional minds on what Thanksgiving is about feel free to watch it too! Charlie Brown is probably a 5-10 year old kid, who has a very negative perspective on Thanksgiving, but with the help of friends he sees what Thanksgiving is all about...

“Planes, Trains and Automobiles,” is another movie that takes place during Thanksgiving and I personally think it’s going to be pretty funny.. It’s about a businessman who’s going on a plane to Chicago to spend Thanksgiving with his family, but then he got put into coach and had to sit with an obnoxious salesman. Now the obnoxiousness of the salesman as well as the funny scenes of the businessman's lack of patience and tolerance, is really funny! Just imagine how people would handle sitting with someone so obnoxious and times it by thirty! That horrible experience and then on top of all of that, there is a snow storm delay that forces them to land in Wichita. Now the obnoxious salesman invites the businessman to stay with him at the motel, with no choice he accepts the offer and you can find out how it goes from there. This movie has a huge profanity problem for young viewers under 16 though, so I advise you get permission from your parents first...
 

“The Myth of Fingertips,” looks like an interesting movie to watch too. It expresses family values, flaws in a family, and other family movie characteristics. Its about family and what it means; growing up and becoming an adult. This movie falls onto Thanksgiving and conveys family excitement and family fun time. It looks and sounds interesting from what I hear so try giving that a go...

Lastly we have “Funny People” a movie that Adam Sandler, movie comic gold , plays in. This movie is about a guy name George, a stand up comedian who discovers he has a blood disorder and is given less than a year to live. George juggles his goal to become a very successful comedian and his deli job, when he meets Ira, (another stand up comedian) he hires Ira as his personal assistant and friend. It’s supposed to be a funny movie about how he traces his roots back, struggles to become successful, turns the world into a fun place to laugh, and realizes how important life value is.

Being Human
 

Could you live in a fantasy world and live a lie or come face to face with who you are and accept it?
 

       Ay-up to you, fellow slaves of television. Why am I speaking like this, you ask? Well, it’s because there are other TV shows besides American ones that are just as entertaining. Have you heard of “Being Human”? If you have, which one? Because there is the UK version and the US version, and I am talking about the UK version. If you haven’t seen it yet, then you should, and here is why. We all struggle with being human. We struggle with stress, nerves, fear, depression, heartbreaks, pain, confusion, conflict, danger, sickness, as well as good feelings like joy and silliness. When we make mistakes, we are only human; when we try to achieve too much, we are only human; when we have too much on our plate, we are only human; when we show our true feelings and emotions, we are only human. Well, this show is about a ghost, a vampire, and a werewolf living under the same roof who are...only human.

 

       The ghost Annie has died a mysterious tragic death at a young age in her house. Annie struggles with being lost, scared, confused, lonely, and, well, dead. She fights to try to get through to people who can’t see her or don’t want to see her. She’s the ghost that moved things, broke things, and performed other supernatural acts to get people to acknowledge that she’s there. She has to deal with the fact that she is now dead and her life has been stripped from her. Also, what is a ghost still doing on planet Earth? Usually when we are inviting in the idea of paranormal it’s unfinished business. Annie’s death was no accident– something or someone killed her. But what or who? Annie has to fulfill those lost questions and answers that are lingering around.

       The vampire Mitchell struggles with being a blood–sucking, life–stealing, hazardous, and supernatural being. Mitchell’s life was taken from him to live a normal life as a human being. He hates being a vampire, unlike the strong and important vampire recruiters who see themselves as having the amazing power to heal the dying or sick; along with the cost of hurting others, killing others, and being a monster; Mitchell isn't so fond of the idea and tries his best to control his thirst for blood. But Mitchell is being forced to come face to face with what he is.

        The werewolf George was forced to become a supernatural being as well. One night on a walk in the woods, some animal scratched him and killed his best friend. Before George knew it, he was in the woods going through excruciating pain. So now every full moon, all of his bones break, his insides burst and he transforms into a nightmare –the big bad wolf. George tries to act like the wolf is separate from him and he tries to ignore the nightmare he is living.

        All of these supernatural creatures living under the same roof, just trying to be human. Struggling to lock these ugly secrets away and out of their mind. Pretending to live a fantasy life where they’re completely normal. Every single day they are lured into mental traps, actual traps, or feelings of despair. Also you'll be really shocked and surprised to discover the cause of Annie’s death. It’s definitely a mystery worth discovering. You can watch it on Netflix or search it in Google and find many websites where you can watch it online. Also let this be a warning to young viewers to get permission from your parents first. It’s best for ages 15 or older.

Welcome society’s of TV . This week’s post is going to be more informative, rather than critiquing. I want to let you guys in and hear your thoughts and advice on what TV shows you would like me to write about. I want to know what you're interested in. I want to know what movies you would like me to write about. I want to know what you have to say! Also I will be recommending holiday movies to watch, movie throwbacks, historical but very entertaining movies to watch, turning point movies to watch, and more! About the holiday movies, as you know Thanksgiving is right around the corner and Christmas is close too. Well I will be making some list of what Thanksgiving family fun nights you should watch and feel free to add in your personal favorites too. Christmas is a HUGE holiday it’s the special day of beauty, love, exhilarating moments and feelings, and many more cherishing values. Everyone is always searching for those fun Christmas movies to watch and I will be the one to let you know about that too!
