Your Turn

Welcome back, blog viewers. Now normally I would write a review on a TV show or movie I thought was outstanding and tell you guys why, but this time I need a new topic. What are your inputs? I mean, anybody could throw out a few ideas of must-see TV shows and movies, but generating reviews everyday gets annoying! I am fresh out of ideas of how I could spark up this blog, so I need your help, your help, and your help. I need help from all of you. What do you guys want to know about all things TV. Maybe there is a question floating around in your head about something...put it in the comments and I’ll go get you an answer. Maybe you want to know the history of some “based on a true story” type of movie...tell me the title and I’ll go search it out for you and report back. The point is, the same daily routine gets boring and dull and sometimes we need a splash of different. Comment on anything that pops into your mind after reading this and I will see what I can do with it. (Everyone’s questions or advice will be used, so feel free)

The Truth At Its Best

Truth-telling, heart-aching, mind blowing, heartbreaking, life-changing, and confusion leading to understanding. These are the kind of movies you need to take the time out to just watch, think, interpret, learn, and understand. In today’s post we will be talking about a life-changing movie that really makes you think, see, and almost live the truth. Have any of you ever read the book or seen the movie “The Boy In the Striped Pajamas?” If you have then you know exactly what I mean when I say you’ve seen the truth. If you haven’t then you have yet to have seen the truth and you should open up to the idea of it.
“The Boy In the Striped Pajamas” is from the time where the Jewish people were treated horrendously, like animals and considered inferior to the majority of all other races. The book later turned into a movie revolves around a little German boy named Bruno whose father is a German soldier and who moves to Poland with his family. Bored out of his mind at his new home he goes exploring and discovers a friend on the other side of the fence. He befriends a little Jewish boy named Shmole who he learns a lot from. After watching a Jew come into his house for labour work, Bruno develops an imagination. In this imagination the Jews are farmers in striped pajamas, they live in camps that are fun, they’re always playing games, and are surrounded by friends. Unfortunately that is not the truth. As Bruno is home schooled he watches how his family and the other soldiers treat the Jewish workers, he is taught about how Jews are the blame for their failure in the war, how the Jews are the bad guys, and taught the camps they live in are fun and good. They tried to brainwash him into thinking the Jews deserve to be treated like animals because they weren't human. Their attempt to brainwash him didn’t work though and the young eight year old Bruno gets to see that truth and if you're willing to, so do you.
This movie is educational for young minds to face the truth, to see what happened, what the Jews had to go through, and a part of history so important to be aware of. Some people will argue that this movie is depressing and awfully sad for anyone to watch, but then others will disagree and say it is the TRUTH. It is what happened and everyone should be aware of this world's history, no matter how heartbreaking it is. This movie is very educational and revealing to the true actions of the Holocaust . I do recommend that people over the ages of 13 watch it though. So go ahead you TV suckers, try watching (or reading) the real hard truth unfold on Netflix or wherever else.

See you next time TV learners..
